Matilda has the calm, unbothered confidence of a monster who has already accepted that chaos will happen around her and has decided it’s not her problem. She stands there, arms at her sides, like she’s supervising the universe with the patience of someone who’s seen it all and wasn’t impressed the first time.

She has a habit of making grand declarations in a perfectly flat tone — things like ‘the flowers told me a secret’ or ‘today is not a running day’ — and then refusing to elaborate. Matilda doesn’t rush, doesn’t panic, and doesn’t move unless she absolutely has to. But when she does? It’s always for something extremely specific, like defending a snack or correcting someone who’s wrong in a way she personally finds offensive.

She’s steady, strange, and quietly convinced she knows more than everyone else, even if she never explains why.

Matilda Bloombump is a one-of-a-kind handmade stoneware creature sculpture, wheel-thrown and hand-sculpted into its own unique form. Each piece begins on the pottery wheel, then is individually shaped and detailed by hand before being kiln-fired for strength and character.

No molds are ever used, ensuring that every creature is completely original—no two are ever the same.
