Meet the Shorelings — a wonderfully weird bunch of handmade clay creatures, each with a personality of their own. Sculpted by ceramic artist John O’Brien, glazed with personality, and fired into something completely their own. No two are ever exactly alike.

Fintan Brinecrest is the Shoreling who can’t leave a mystery alone. If something’s out of place, half‑buried, or just a little strange, he’s already leaning over it—way too close—trying to make sense of it. He studies the world with an intensity that startles newcomers, but anyone who knows him understands he’s just curious to his core.
He’s the one who pauses mid‑conversation because a thought slipped away, then immediately asks three new questions to chase it down again. Out by the brine pools, creatures rely on him to notice the things everyone else overlooks. He forgets half the answers he collects, but that never slows him down. In his mind, he’s always this close to figuring everything out.
Quiet. Determined. Endearingly intense. Fintan Brinecrest is the tide‑marsh’s most persistent investigator—even if he has to rediscover the same clue twice.
Fintan Brinecrest is a one-of-a-kind handmade stoneware creature sculpture, wheel-thrown and hand-sculpted into its own unique form. Each piece begins on the pottery wheel, then is individually shaped and detailed by hand before being kiln-fired for strength and character.
No molds are ever used, ensuring that every creature is completely original—no two are ever the same.
